Position Overview:

The Upper Rio Grande School District is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to serve as the Del Norte Jr./Sr. High School Principal. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for student achievement, effective communication skills, and the ability to engage with the community to enhance the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership that promotes a positive school culture and climate.
• Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with state standards.
• Manage school operations, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
• Foster professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
• Engage with parents, community members, and stakeholders to support student success.
• Implement data-driven strategies to monitor and improve student performance.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Colorado Principal License.
• Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal.
• Demonstrated success in instructional leadership and staff supervision.
• Strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in rural education.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school community.

Salary and Benefits:
